July 2014 - Judy won a Grand Prize from DancingPoetry.com for her poem "Artistry." The competition is sponsored by Artists Embassy International. The poem will be choreographed and danced on Sept. 20 at the 21st Annual Dancing Poetry Festival at the Florence Gould Theater in the California Palace of the Legion of Honor Art Museum in Lincoln Park, San Francisco, CA.
July 2014 - Judy was awarded a Mississippi Arts Commission $500.00 minigrant to support professional development training.
July 2014 - Short story "Noteworthy Performance" to be published by Arthur Ford in "The Pen".
May 2014- "Day of Remembrance" wins 1st HM in Guns, Grenades and True Grit Poetry Competition of war poems sponsored by Wanda Parrott.
April 26-27, 2014 -MPS Spring Festival awards: 2nd place poems: Moonlit Nights, Artist's Palette and Life's Guide; 4th place for It's "The Gathering"; 1st HMs for Promises to Keep and PGT Beauregard's 1st Wife. Judy and husband Ken also presented their "Merging Poetry and Music Workshop" at the MPS Spring Festival in Starkville.
Dec. 13, 2013-Poem "Mountains" published in Southern Voices with Deep South Magazine
Oct 3-5, 2013 Another music festival has selected Bridges, The Silent Sea, and Window To The Stage from Ken's & Judy's Poetic Soundscapes (CD) narrated poetry to electronic music. NACUSA (National Association of Composers U.S.A.) presents them at their National Conference Festival held at Louisiana Tech University in Rustin, LA.
Sept 2013. Judy's poem "Bird Watch" is published in the Summer issue of Wildlife Mississippi magazine.

Sept 2013. Judy wins Mississippi Senior Poet Laureate and is also named the 2013 National Senior Poet Honor Scroll winner. The annual competition is sponsored by The Amy Kitchener Foundation "Angels Without Wings."

PARMA Music Festival and Society of Composers in Portsmouth, New Hampshire feature Bridges, The Silent Sea, and Window To The Stage from Ken's & Judy's Poetic Soundscapes (CD) narrated poetry to electronic music.
May 2013 - Judy's Poem "Window to the Seasons" and an excerpt from her "Ode to Stained Glass" have been included in the publication Hearths, by University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast professor Lenny Emmanuel.
April 2013 - At the MS Poetry Society's Spring Festival held in Ocean Springs, Judy won 1st place for her "Where East Meets West", a 1st place for her villanelle "Promise the Moon", 2nd place for "Carry Me High", 2nd place for "Welcome Spring" and a 1st Honorable Mention for her humorous "Computer vs Poetry."
She and husband Ken have made several live presentations of selections from their Poetic Soundscapes CD.

Judy's poem "My Forever Lover" was published in The Poetry Explosion Newsletter. It was selected for their July 2012 issue of romantic poetry.
In July 2012, poet Judy Davies was honored to be awarded the Mississippi Senior Poet Laureate title for her poem "Greed." This was her third MS Senior Poet Laureate win in the last four years.
Judy received two honorable mentions at the Mid-South Poetry Festival in Memphis, TN on Oct. 6th for her poems "Sundown Came to Texas" in the humorous category and "Heart Reminders" in the "Ribbons" category.
At the Oct. 20th MS Poetry Society's Fall Mini-Festival, Judy's poetry won an honorable mention for "Domestic Furor," a 3rd for "Outer Banks," a 2nd for "Doorsteps," and a 1st place for "Almost Spring."

April 21st-22nd-MS Poetry Society Spring Festival: Won third place for poem "In Spirit" in the "unrhymed poetry category" and received honorable mentions in five other categories.
Nov 19, 2011 - Judy wins at the Writers Unlimited/MS Poetry Society - South Branch contest: 1st place win for "Timeless Tree" and Honorable Mention for "The Last Feather of an Indian Summer."
Nov 12, 2011 - Judy's contest wins at the MS Poetry Society Fall Minifestival in Jackson, MS: 1st place win for "From Frost's Rose Pogonias" and Honorable Mentions for "Elusive Shadows," "Small Regret," "Love's Song," and "Pull of the Moon."
Oct 19, 2011 - Judy's poem "Fall Whispers" is featured in the online October issue of Four and Twenty Poetry journal (pdf). It's on page 5.
July 2011 - The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) has awarded Judy a professional development mini-grant for 2012. The grant will help her attend the annual convention of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. The annual convention is held in a different U.S. city each year. The 2012 convention will be in Merriville, IN.
Judy's poem "Afternoon Rain" won 1st honorable mention in the Morton D. and Elsie S. Prouty Memorial Award Contest at the 2011 National Federation of State Poetry Societies Annual Convention held in Dearborn, Michigan in June. NFSPS includes competitors from all 50 states.
At the April 30-May 1 Spring Poetry Festival held at the Gulf Hills Hotel and Conference Center, Mrs. Davies was elected state treasurer for the Mississippi Poetry Society.
March 14-15, 2011. Three of Judy's poems, set to music by Ken Davies, receive a performance by Nathan Leaf, tenor and Tom Koch, piano at the Southeastern Composers' League Festival, University of North Carolina at Raleigh. Titled Three Scenic Songs, the poems are Mountain Dreams, Nature's Paintbrush, and Beach Thoughts.
Now a published song lyricist, Judy is a new member of ASCAP.
Nov. 2010 - Judy wins 2nd place in Magnolia Quarterly Autumn Contest.
Nov. 2010 - Judy wins Mississippi Senior Poet Laureate for the second consecutive year. Read her Day Of Remembrance.
July 2010 - Judy's poem "Don't Touch Our Profits" is presented on West Florida Literary Foundation's The Spill collection of literary pieces about the Gulf of Mexico BP oil well disaster.
July 2010 - Judy is awarded a mini- grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission.
